Studies on the Concurrent Administration of Medicines(¥¹)

Abstract
These studies were attempted to investigate the preventive effects of KYUNG OK KO and Gluta thione on the liver damage induced by carbon tetrachloride in rats. s-GOT, s-GPT activites and liver TBA values were evaluated. Histological observation were also carred out.
The results were summarized as follows:
1. s-GOT, s-SPT activites of all the pre-treatment groups were significantly decreased, as com-pared with those of the control intoxicated by CC1_4. The concurrent adminstration of KYUNG OK KO and Glutathione(100+100mg/kg, 200+100mg/kg, 400+100mg/kg) were more effective than the individual administration.
2. On the determination of lipid peroxidation in liver, the induvidual administration of KYUNG OK KO and Glutathione(100+100mg/kg, 200+100mg/kg, 400+100mg/kg) significantly reduced the liver TBA values.
3. Although hepatic cellular necrosis and fatty acid deposit were remarkably increased by CC1_4 in-toxication, the individual administration of KYUNG OK KO and the concurrent administration of KYUNG OK KO and Glutathione (100+100mg/kg, 200+100mg/kg, 400+100mg/kg) reduced the pathological changes of parenchyma cell necrosis and fatty changes around centrilobular area of the control. In view of the above findings it can be considered that administration of KYUNG OK KO and Glu-tathione showed improvements against liver damage induced by carbon tetrachloride in rats.
